  3. Philosphical and Rationale Statement
    1. Computer Education
      1. Given the prevalence of video sharing services in all professions today, a basic knowledge of video production is vital to the students' ability to share information and ideas through the use of audio/visual deliverables.
      2. The concept of user created content as it is used on wikis makes it possible for students to learn constructive ways of questioning authority and the validity of presented information. Wikis also provide the opportunity for students to practice simple word processing and proper use of the English language with immediate feedback.

      1. Knowledge of the benifits of a healthy plant-based vegetarian diet will gained by the studnet.

      3. The class will gain insight into actually diets used by other members of the class as well as the faculty.

    1. The students will create web content on the school wiki that is logically organized and well presented.
    2. The students will write a script for a video production based on the content on the wiki.
    3. The students will record scenes as outlined in the script.
    4. The students will combine the recorded scenes and otherwise complete the post production of the video production according to the script and whatever concerns may arise during post production.

  8. Grading Procedure
    1. Computer Education
      1. Wiki Contribution-Each student will recieve a group grade out of 20 creative points for their group's contribution to their wiki content: 20 points for clear data organization, appropriate use of paragraph, bulleted list or numbered list, use of pictures or other non-text information, and links to supplemental information.
      2. Video Production-Each student will be responsible for fulfilling a specific role in the video production, ie. director, writer, etc.. The students will recieve a grade for the successful completion of the tasks their role entails. This grade will be based on the evaluation of the teachers and a survey of the other students in the class. 100 creative points are available from the teachers' evaluations and 50 creative points are avalable from the peer survey.
